Create a Student Office

I am sure by this point in your learning and resource investigation that you have come across the mini-office or table-board. Quite simply put, this is an answer to the blackboard or flip-charts for the at-home learner.

I chose a tri-fold project board.  I purchased this from the Wal-mart for only a few dollars.  You could very easily scale this down.  I would suggest using file folders (lap-book style) or cutting the project board into three sections.

Why?  You could design a display that would be suitable for specific subject content.

We did not get “glitzy” with our display.  The primary purpose for our creation was to have on-hand reminders and references for seat work.  I wanted to provide a means of isolation from the household chaos too.  My “little fish” sits behind the display board.

I kept things very simple.  I used glue and cardstock of a variety of colors.  I printed using color.  I use envelopes of varying sizes to hold items as well.

You could easily laminate and decorate in any way you see fit.  How it looks was not as important to me so much as how usable that it would be.

The resources below provide you with a variety of looks and printables in order to design your own.
